At its best, DRAM's latest sounds like Chance's latest, full of sunny little flashes - Broccoli//Cute's a one-two and a half.
But most of the album sounds like the year's other heavy hitter: Drake. Drake sucks.
DRAM keeps moaning and moaning, milking modern-life observations (passwords / wifi / uber), every underfed song vamping on one idea and one verse's-worth of rhymes 2.5/5

DeleteBut man, every song's got exactly one idea that does not justify a 4 minute song without *some* expansion. It's all so halfassed.
By comparison, Chance's songs overflow with ideas and feelings -- DRAM's are understuffed.
you know what it is? its that DRAM's trying to force relating to you, putting that first, forgoing coming from a sincere place. It doesn't work. It feels put on.
